Why I do it this way

I sculpt each figurine by hand from the photographs you send. How close it comes depends almost entirely on the photograph — the angle, the light, how much of the subject is in frame, whether the face is sharp.

Some photos give me enough to work with. Some don't, and no amount of effort on my end will change that. I can't tell which yours is until I've seen it.

So rather than take your money and find out afterwards, I look first and tell you straight. If I don't think I can do your photo justice, I'll say so and you'll have lost nothing.

What happens

1. You send your photos through this page — no payment, no card details
2. Within 2 working days I reply and tell you plainly: what I can make from these photos, what I can't, roughly what it will look like, the price, and how long it will take
3. If you're happy, I send you a payment link and start
4. You see a photograph of the finished piece before it's posted, while I can still change it
5. It goes out tracked

Photos that give me the most to work with

• Two to four shots from different angles, if you have them
• Bright, even light — daylight near a window beats a flash
• The subject filling most of the frame rather than lost in the background
• For a face: front-on and sharp
• For a person on a bike, in uniform, with a pet — send the whole scene, that's often the part that matters most

Rough price range

Most pieces land between £69 and £279 depending on size and how much sculpting is involved. You'll get an exact figure before you pay anything, and it won't move afterwards.
