What is a custom pet figurine?
A custom pet figurine is a small sculpture of your own dog, cat or companion, modelled from your photographs and then 3D printed and hand-finished. It's part personalised gift, part keepsake β and for many people, a gentle way to remember a pet who is no longer here. Unlike a mass-produced ornament, no two are ever the same, because yours is built from your animal's real shape, markings and posture.
How it works, step by step
- You send a photo. One clear, side-on photo in good light is enough to begin. More angles help.
- We give you an honest review β free. Before you pay anything, we tell you truthfully what we can and can't capture from your photo. If it won't do your pet justice, we'll say so.
- We sculpt and print it. The piece is modelled by hand, printed in our UK studio, then cleaned and finished.
- It arrives, tracked and protected. Made to order, packed carefully, posted to your door.
How to photograph your pet for the best figurine
You don't need a professional camera β an ordinary phone is perfect. What matters is clarity and light:
- Use natural daylight β near a window or outside on an overcast day. Avoid harsh flash.
- Get down to their level rather than shooting from above.
- Aim for a clear side-on or three-quarter angle so the body shape reads well.
- Send a few photos if you can β face, both sides, and a full-body shot give the truest likeness.
- Avoid heavy filters and AI-generated images. They change real features, and the figurine copies whatever the photo shows.
What 3D printing can β and can't β capture (the honest bit)
Most sellers won't tell you this, so we will. 3D printing is brilliant at shape and proportion β the tilt of the head, the set of the ears, the stance. With a hand-painted finish it captures the main colours and markings beautifully.
What it can't do is reproduce every individual hair or a photo-perfect face at a few centimetres tall. A figurine is a lovingly made likeness, not a shrunken photocopy. Knowing that up front is exactly why we offer the free photo review β so you order with clear eyes and love the result.
How much does a custom pet figurine cost?
Our custom pet figurines start at Β£59 for a small piece (up to 10cm), Β£89 for medium (up to 15cm) and Β£129 for large (up to 20cm). You choose unpainted or full colour at checkout. Because each one is made to order by hand, prices reflect real craft time rather than a warehouse shelf.
Are pet figurines a good memorial gift?
Yes β a figurine gives people something to hold, which a photo on a phone can't. Many customers order one after losing a pet, or as a surprise for someone grieving. If it's a memorial, tell us at checkout and we'll take extra care. Handled gently, it's one of the most meaningful gifts you can give.
When should I order for Christmas?
Bespoke pieces have a lead time, and December is busy. For UK Christmas delivery, please order standard figurines by 14 December and bespoke or painted pieces by 7 December. Earlier is always safer β order slots each week are limited because everything is made by one pair of hands.

Frequently asked questions
How do I turn a photo of my dog into a figurine?
Send one clear side-on photo to a UK maker like UN Creations. They review it for free, sculpt a model from it, 3D print and hand-finish the figurine, and post it to you. You approve a proof before anything is printed.
How much is a custom pet figurine in the UK?

Can you make a figurine of a pet that has passed away?
Yes. A photo is all that's needed, and pet memorial figurines are one of the most common requests. Add a note at checkout so extra care is taken.
What photo do you need for a pet figurine?
A clear, well-lit, side-on or three-quarter photo works best. A few angles (face, sides, full body) give the truest likeness. Avoid filters and AI-generated images.
How long does a custom pet figurine take?
Made-to-order pieces typically take a couple of weeks, longer for large or painted pieces. For UK Christmas delivery, order standard pieces by 14 December and bespoke/painted pieces by 7 December.
